Steps at train doors

Most Japanese trains do not have steps at the door. But trains in Hokkaido are old. There are some steps at the  door. So wheelchair users need a ramp or some help. Station staff will bring a ramp board for wheelchair passengers.

Wheelchair space and seats in train

Wheelchair seat and wheelchair accessible toilet are available in express trains. We must book it 2 days before.  Local trains also have a wheelchair space and priority seats.
